D C Sanghar Holds Meeting with Education Officials to Improve School Performance
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sarah Javed chaired a high-level meeting with officials from the Education Department to review and improve the district's education system. The meeting focused on school performance, student and teacher attendance, and the overall quality of education. Officers from both district and tehsil levels attended the meeting and shared various suggestions to enhance the education sector. Addressing the participants, the DC emphasized the need for strict and practical steps to improve the education system, stressing that policies should be aligned with on-ground realities.
District Education Officer (DEO) Sarwar Rajput gave a detailed briefing on the number of schools, teaching and non-teaching staff, and student enrollment across the district. District Focal Person from the Reform Support Unit, Mumtaz Dero, provided insights into the facilities being provided to students in public schools.
On this occasion, DC Sarah Javed instructed the District Chief Monitoring Officer, Roshan Ali Kunbhar, to strengthen the monitoring mechanism and ensure that reports on absent teachers are submitted both to the Education Department and the DC Office for appropriate action. The Deputy Commissioner further noted that the Sindh government is investing more per student in government schools compared to other provinces. Therefore, the academic results and performance must reflect that investment. She also directed education officials to submit a comprehensive report on the facilities available in schools during the next meeting. All Taluka Education Officers were also present at the meeting
