Protest Rally in Tando Adam Against Illegal Canal Construction and Israeli Atrocities, Solidarity Expressed with Palestinians

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A large protest rally was held in Tando Adam against the illegal extraction of water through unauthorized canals from the Indus River and to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. The rally was organized by Al-Zulfiqar Khidmat Foundation, Young Khaskheli Ittehad Tando Adam, Vice Chairman Union Council Gajhro, Anwar Soomro Solar Energy, Pakistan Insan Dost Welfare Association, and other civil society representatives.


The rally, led by Muhammad Yameen Khaskheli, Zulfiqar Ali Saand, Imtiaz Khaskheli, Ajaz Khaskheli, Haji Anwar Soomro, and Javed Khaskheli, began at Muhammadi Chowk and concluded at the Tando Adam Press Club. A large number of citizens, political and social leaders participated in the demonstration.


Protesters carried Palestinian flags, banners, and placards inscribed with slogans such as “Down with Israel,” “Long Live Palestine,” “Water of Sindh for Sindh,” “No to Dams,” and “Stop Atrocities on the Indus River.”


Addressing the rally, speakers including Allama Zaheer Abbas Qummi (President, Al-Mustafa Educational Welfare Organization), Abdul Ghafoor Ansari (Jamaat-e-Islami), Akhlaq Waryah (Sindhi Adabi Sangat), Gul Hassan Lakho, Sagar Dehraj, Allahdad Mari (JSQM), Dr. Amarshi Kachhi (All Pakistan Kachhi Ittehad), Sarwar Abro (SUP), Bagi Mujahid Thaheem, Mazhar Chandio (Provincial Vice President NPCIHA), Senior Journalist Riaz Hussain Sanjrani and national folk singer Faheem Khaskheli said the people of Sindh have united to defend their land, water, and dignity.


They condemned the illegal canal project, stating that the Indus River is the lifeline of Sindh essential for its agriculture, employment, and survival. "Stealing our share of water is a direct attack on our rights, and we will never accept it," the speakers declared. They warned the government to halt such actions or face a wider, more practical resistance movement.


The protesters also voiced strong solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning Israeli aggression and the killing of innocent civilians and children. "Our support for Palestine is a stand for humanity and justice," they added.


The event concluded with prayers for the martyrs of Palestine and the restoration of peace across the world.
