Free Family Health Camp Held at RHSA Centre Tando Adam
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The Population Welfare Department Sanghar organised a one-day free Family Health Mela at the RHSA Centre in Tando Adam, providing a range of healthcare and family planning services to the local community.
The camp was inaugurated by District Health Officer Sanghar Dr Farooq Arain, District Population Welfare Officer Shahabuddin Memon, and Medical Officer Dr Naseem Mallah. A large number of people benefited from the camp, where trained staff offered services including long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC), permanent family planning procedures, and free medicines.
Addressing the participants, Dr Naseem Mallah highlighted that families attending the camp were being educated on maternal and child health, birth spacing, and the importance of adopting appropriate family planning methods.
Speaking on the occasion, District Population Welfare Officer Shahabuddin Memon said that rapid population growth was having adverse effects on society. He added that, on the directives of Sindh Minister for Health and Population Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho and Secretary Population Welfare Sindh Hafeezullah Abbasi, such health camps were being organised in underprivileged areas across the district to improve maternal and child health and expand access to family planning services.
Among others who attended the camp were Bridge Consultant District Sanghar Manager Ali Sher Dahri, Medical Superintendent Tando Adam Dr Ali Ghulam Samoon, UNICEF focal person Dr Aftab Ali, Naveed Haisbani, Akhtar Soomro, Mohan Lal, Saleem Soomro, and others.
