Two Day Eye Surgical Camp Inaugurated at Civil Hospital Sanghar
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A two-day surgical camp for the treatment of eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma was inaugurated at the Civil Hospital Sanghar by Akbar Khan Mari, brother of Member National Assembly (MNA) Shazia Atta Mari and a leader of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP).
While addressing the media, Akbar Khan Mari stated that their family, including MNA Shazia Atta Mari, is committed to serving the underprivileged people of Sanghar district by providing better access to healthcare, education, clean drinking water, and infrastructure facilities. He appreciated the efforts of Civil Surgeon Dr. Aftab Azam Sirewal and his team for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and ensuring the availability of medicines despite the large number of patients. He also assured that all issues of the hospital will be resolved.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Aftab Azam Sirewal shared that over 450 surgeries are planned during the camp, and more than 1,200 patients have already been treated in the outpatient department (OPD) since the camp began. He highlighted that expert doctors, including Dr. Sajjad Ali Sarhyo and Dr. Naeem Ahmed, are conducting the surgeries.
Dr. Sirewal also mentioned that timely awareness by the Sanghar Information Department has encouraged patients from remote areas such as Achhro Thar to visit the camp. Additionally, the hospital has arranged meals for the patients.
