Tribute to Legendary Singer Ustad Mukhtiar Ali Khan on 7th Death Anniversary
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The seventh death anniversary of Ustad Mukhtiar Ali Khan, a prominent figure of the Gawaliar family and renowned singer was observed simply in Tando Adam. According to reports, the ceremony took place on Sunday and included Quran recitations to honor the late artist's soul.
Family members, including his brothers Ustad Nadir Ali Khan, Hameer Ali Khan, and his son Junior Manzoor Ali Khan, along with journalists and local residents visited his final resting place, laying flowers and offering prayers.
Senior journalists, including Imdad Rahi, Ashiq Saand, Khalid Khaskhali, Rais Zahid Hussain Mari, Ali Raza Sand and Kashif Panhwar remarked on Ustad Mukhtiar Ali Khan's invaluable contribution to classical music, noting that his unique voice was deeply cherished. They expressed sorrow over his untimely passing, stating that his legacy continues through his children, who are expected to carry on his artistic tradition.
Ustad Mukhtiar Ali Khan was the nephew of the renowned Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan and the son of Ustad Wazir Ali Khan. He gained fame through his performances on radio and television and was also a talented painter, having created portraits of prominent figures such as Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Benazir Bhutto. He passed away on October 20, 2017, due to liver complications.
