Not only the film industry, but women in every field are sexually harassed: Ekta Kapoor

Mumbai (Web Desk) Famous Bollywood director and actress Ekta Kapoor while talking about sexual harassment in Malayalam film industry said that it is not only the film industry but the problem of women in every sector.

Ekta Kapoor attended the trail launch event of the film 'The Buckingham Murders' in Mumbai, where director Hansal Mehta, co-producers Shobha Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were also present.

On this occasion, while talking to the media, he said that sexual harassment at the workplace is an important issue that should be seriously considered.

He stressed that women should come forward and lead in every sector, women's participation in forces and agencies is essential.

Ekta Kapoor praised the process of two women producers making a film based on a crime story and called it a symbol of women's protection and empowerment.

He further said that companies and other institutions need women at the highest level so that they can secure the workplace for women.
