Indian government upset over controversial web series, Netflix chief wanted

Mumbai (Web Desk) Streaming platform Netflix has faced controversy over its new Indian web series "IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack".

According to foreign media reports, the controversy started when false information was spread regarding the identity of the hijackers in the series.

In this regard, the Indian Ministry of Information has summoned the content chief of Netflix on September 3 to provide an explanation on the objections.

It should be noted that the web series directed by Anubhav Sinha is based on the real hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814 in 1999.
