Bangladesh demands extradition of Sheikh Hasina Wajid from India

Dhaka (Web Desk) The prosecutor of the interim government of Bangladesh demanded the extradition of Hasina Wajid from India.

According to foreign media, the chief prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh, Muhammad Taj Salam, said in a conversation with reporters that the former prime minister has been charged with war crimes. She has fled the country, but we will start legal proceedings to bring her back.

He said that Hasina Wajid has been involved in the massacre of opposition parties and opponents in the country, we will punish her severely.

It should be noted that Bangladesh has an extradition agreement with India, which was signed in 2013, but under a clause in the agreement, extradition can be refused if the crime is of a "political nature".
