IMF board meeting schedule continues, Pakistan ignored once again

Islamabad (Web Desk) The calendar of another meeting of the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been released in which Pakistan has been neglected once again.

The IMF Executive Board will meet on September 18 to approve the seventh review of Broad Suriname.

Even before that, the calendar of the meetings of the IMF Executive Board on September 9 and 13 has been released. Today, the case of Bhutan is included in the meeting of September 9, while the case of Norway is included in the meeting of September 13.

The staff-level agreement between Pakistan and the IMF was signed on July 12, but sources say that Pakistan is still facing difficulties in meeting the foreign financing gap of two billion dollars.

According to sources, Pakistan has applied for a commercial loan of 1.75 billion dollars to fulfill the condition of foreign financing, Pakistan has also applied for a loan of 40 million dollars to the Islamic Trade Finance Corporation and 35 million dollars to the Islamic Development Bank.

Sources say that Pakistan has also requested a ten-two billion dollar loan from Saudi Arabia, while efforts are being made to facilitate the purchase of oil from Saudi Arabia.
