MNA Shazia Atta Marri provides 4x4 mobile dispensary to boost child healthcare in Sanghar

SANGHAR (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Healthcare services for children in remote parts of Sanghar district are set to improve after MNA Shazia Atta Marri provided a fully equipped 4x4 mobile dispensary to support immunisation and disease surveillance activities under the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI).

According to the district health authorities, the mobile unit will help EPI teams reach far-flung and underserved communities where access to routine healthcare and vaccination services has remained a challenge due to difficult terrain and inadequate transport facilities.

Officials said the vehicle would facilitate the delivery of essential immunisation services to children under the age of five, ensuring timely vaccination against 13 potentially life-threatening diseases. The initiative is expected to significantly enhance vaccination coverage in remote villages and settlements across the district.

The mobile dispensary will also strengthen disease surveillance, improve emergency response capacity and support other public health programmes aimed at protecting vulnerable communities, benefiting thousands of families in the district.

District Health Officer Dr Mohammad Farooq appreciated the contribution and described it as a valuable step towards improving public health services and ensuring a healthier future for children in Sanghar.

He urged parents and community members to actively cooperate with immunisation teams and ensure that children receive routine vaccinations on time to help build a healthier and safer society.
