Dr. Suleman G. Abro Calls for Global Peace, Unity, and Strong Security Framework
Hyderabad: The birthday of the Founder and Chief of SAFCO Group, Dr. Suleman G. Abro, was observed with simplicity in light of the prevailing global situation, particularly the loss of innocent civilian lives in different parts of the world.
A simple yet dignified ceremony was held at the SAFCO Head Office in Hyderabad. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Suleman G. Abro remarked that humanity is passing through a critical phase of history, where global peace and justice institutions appear increasingly ineffective in preventing human suffering and conflict.
He noted that in several regions, including the Middle East, thousands of innocent lives have been lost and millions displaced, while the situation continues to deteriorate without meaningful relief. He emphasized that such tragedies, especially involving women and children, remain a serious concern for the global conscience.
Dr. Abro highlighted that growing global tensions and conflicts are contributing to widespread human suffering. He stressed the importance of collective international efforts and called upon countries to develop a unified and practical strategy aimed at ensuring sustainable peace and security. He underscored the need for establishing an effective global forum capable of playing a meaningful role in promoting stability and preventing conflicts.
He expressed his gratitude to the senior management of SAFCO Group for organizing the ceremony and shared hope that the current phase of unrest and uncertainty would soon give way to peace, allowing people across the world to live and celebrate life with dignity and security.
Earlier, SAFCO Board Director Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kunbhar, in his address, described Dr. Suleman G. Abro as a rare personality who exemplifies integrity, compassion, humility, and strong leadership. He appreciated his consistent ability to guide others, resolve challenges, and contribute to human resource development, noting that his personality reflects the qualities of an institution rather than just an individual.
Managing Director of SAFCO Microfinance Company, Syed Sajjad Ali Shah, stated that the occasion serves as a reminder to strengthen commitments toward social development and to further enhance efforts for bringing marginalized communities into the mainstream.
Chief Executive of SAFCO Support Foundation, Bashir Ahmed Abro, Deputy Executive Director of Sindh Agricultural and Forestry Workers Coordinating Organization, Zeeshan Memon, and other speakers also shared their views.
On the occasion, traditional Ajrak and a Sindhi cap were presented to Dr. Suleman G. Abro as a gesture of respect, followed by the cake-cutting ceremony.
