Thousands, Including Women and Children, Stage Sit-in Against the Murder of Kailash Kolhi; Hyderabad–Badin–Karachi Road Blocked

In Badin district, near the town of Piru Lashari, in the village of Daho Kolhi, due to the failure to arrest the killers of young Kailash Kolhi who was murdered four days ago, the Pakistan Kolhi Ittehad has staged a sit-in at Pir Chowk, completely blocking the Hyderabad–Badin–Karachi road. Thousands of people have blocked the road, resulting in hundreds of vehicles being stranded on both sides. Due to the sit-in continuing for 14 hours, many passengers are stuck in their vehicles and the affected people are raising strong slogans demanding the arrest of the killers.

The father of the murdered youth Kailash, Cheten Kolhi, mother Miran Kolhan, wife Lakhi Bai, and innocent children, along with hundreds of women and thousands of people, are sitting in the sit-in. Kolhi Ittehad leaders Sodhi Kolhi, Advocate Ram Kolhi, Kolhi Ittehad Sindh President Pehlaj Kolhi, Lalchand Kolhi, Dr. Ram Chand Kolhi, Rai Chand Kolhi, and nationalist leaders Nawaz Shah Bhadai, SUP leader Ameer Azad Panhwar, Sindhyani Tehreek’s Shazia Ahmadani, renowned lawyers Ashraf Samoon, Tariq Aftab Mallah, Sajjad Lashari, prominent personality Manzoor Solangi, renowned actor Haider Qadri, Manzoor Sheikh, Dr. Aziz Memon, GDA’s Muhammad Hussain Shahani, along with a large number of people from various communities and a large number of men and women from the Kolhi community, participated in the sit-in.

During the sit-in, protesters raised strong slogans against SSP Badin and Tando Allahyar police. The leaders demanded the arrest of Sarfraz Nizamani and his accomplices, the killers of the innocent Kailash Kolhi. They stated that SSP Badin Qamar Raza Jiskani had assured four days ago that the killer would be arrested, but despite this assurance, the killer has not been arrested. They said that until the killer is arrested, the scope of the protest will be expanded across the entire Sindh.
