Dow Lab Inaugurated in Shoe Market, Nishter Road

KARACHI: The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has inaugurated a new branch of Dow Lab in the Shoe Market area near Nishter Road, aimed at providing easier access to diagnostic services for residents of the surrounding localities.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Dr Ashar Afaq, Registrar of DUHS. Present on the occasion were Mr Saleem Chauhan, Director Commercial & Operations, and Mr Pir Mudassir Ali Shah, Director Human Resources.

Speaking at the event, Dr Ashar Afaq said that Dow Labs are currently operational in approximately 92 locations across 17 cities, including Karachi, as well as interior Sindh and Balochistan. He highlighted that the objective of these labs is to provide high-quality diagnostic testing services at affordable rates.

He further stated that the newly established facility will ensure continuous and reliable testing for underprivileged patients. Congratulating the team on the successful establishment of the new branch, Dr Afaq commended their dedication and hard work. He noted that this new branch would play a vital role in expanding healthcare access to the public.

Mr Saleem Chauhan, Director Commercial & Operations, added that alongside the expansion plan, the primary focus remains on improving the quality of services. He said that additional projects are being considered to deliver better and more cost-effective healthcare services at the doorstep of the people.

Earlier, Dr Ashar Afaq formally inaugurated the facility by cutting the ribbon.
